The Philippines has been recording an average of at least 200 daily cases of infection from the corona virus since April 1, 2020 - and that's one full month of official data.
As of May 1, 2020, a total of 8,772 infected person has been recorded according to the Department of Health. 862 of them had fully recovered while 579 deaths were reported.
Considering the official figures from the DoH, it can be known that the active cases is still 7,109 - and that's doing a simple math with:
Active cases = total recorded infected - ( recovered + deaths)
Meanwhile, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte announced that the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) will remain on the country's hot spots after April 30, 2020 while rest of the country will just be under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) after the end of the month of April.
As of May 1, 2020 the global total of COVID-19 cases was at 3,308,233 with 234,105 deaths and 1,042,819 recoveries.
